Rules are the things your assistant reads before every chat, so you stop repeating yourself. Answer eight questions, pick your assistant, and copy the result.

Your answers never leave this page. The rules file is put together in your browser, nothing is sent to us or to any AI service, and nothing is saved.

How to answer

- Lead with the answer, then the reasoning.
- Keep answers under 150 words unless I ask for more.
- Use plain language. Explain any jargon the first time you use it.
- Use bullet points for lists of three or more items.
- No emojis.

When you are unsure

- If a request is ambiguous, ask up to three questions before starting.
- If a fact is not in what I gave you and you cannot name a source, write "unverified" next to it.
- Never invent quotes, statistics, names, or links.

Where to paste this

Click your initials in the lower left, open Settings, and paste this into Instructions for Claude. For one project only, paste it into that project’s instructions instead.

Then start a new chat and ask for something you ask for often. If the answer did not change, make the rule more specific.
