Refund policy

Last revised: May 2026

Who this applies to

This policy covers one-time purchases from Albino Geek Services Ltd. through albinogeek.com (digital goods and scheduled pair-engineering time). It is provided for transparency and does not replace any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your province or territory.

Digital products

Voluntary refund window: If you have not accessed the substantive content of a purchased guide or template kit (for example, you have not downloaded materials or accepted a repository invitation where delivery is via GitHub), you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase via the Contact page with your order details. Where delivery has started in good faith, we may decline a refund for content already supplied.

How refunds are paid: Approved refunds are issued through our payment processor (Polar). Timing on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer; we typically process approved refunds within a few business days.

Payment disputes: If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first so we can fix it. If you open a card or wallet dispute, we will respond accurately to the processor. Nothing here limits chargeback or dispute rights your network or bank may offer.

Pair-engineering

Pre-paid pair-engineering time is not refundable once those hours have been used. If you bought a block and work has not started yet (no hours from that purchase have been consumed), you may request a full refund of that block on the Contact page within 30 days of purchase. That window is for changing your mind before any session time runs; scheduled-session cancellations and expiry are handled separately below.

Cancellations, no-shows, and expiry

Pair-engineering sessions (2-hour / 4-hour / 8-hour blocks) use this schedule:

  • Cancellations 24 hours or more before the scheduled slot receive a full refund of that booking, processed as above.
  • Cancellations under 24 hours, or no-shows, forfeit that slot and the associated payment, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If you have an emergency, reach out on the Contact page — we will be reasonable where we can.
  • Time-block slots expire 90 days from purchase unless we agree a different deadline in writing. If we cannot agree on a replacement time within that window, unused time is forfeited.

Statutory and provincial rights

Consumer protection rules depend on where you live and how the sale is structured. For example, British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and related guidance address distance sales contracts, required disclosures, and cancellation rights in specific situations. Your refund, return, and cancellation policies under statute are not overridden by our commercial policy where the law says otherwise.

General purchase terms are in the Terms of service.
